"Achieving Our Dreams through Education"
The Personality Compass
I enjoyed hearing everyone share out this Friday about their personality groups and I also enjoyed witnessing our group dynamics take place as personalities surfaced through verbal and non-verbal signs. It was enjoyable to me. Thanks for your participation and/or non-participation. :) It was very meaningful to us as a team to talk about our strengths and differences.
Yet we are all here for one purpose that is summed up in our mission statement...."Achieving our Dreams through Education." If we can keep student safety and learning at the fore-front of our thoughts, decisions and motivations we will stay on track as a staff. We are after all first and foremost a school.
If you would like more information about the Personality Compass here is a LINK.
The Pymalion Effect is something I have been thinking about. It may seem a little too simple to only say that students will rise to our level of expectations, but it does all start with our expectations. When we do have a belief in the ability of our students to learn, a belief that students are good intentioned, it does effect how we interact with them and assist in the learning process. Thank you for believing in your students.
