Spring Pictures

Spring Picture proofs were given to students this week. Proofs were also emailed to families on May 4 and May 17. Leader in Me Survey- Grades 3-5 only

Each year, we ask our families of students in grades 3-5 to complete a survey for our Leader in Me Initiative. Below is the link for this year's survey. The 25 multiple-choice question survey centers around home-school connections and your child's ability to implement the leadership skills they've learned through the 8-Habits. Congratulations to our Wellness Committee! Our school participated in MUSC Boeing Center for Children’s Wellness School-based Wellness Initiative during the 2022-2023 school year. Participation in this Initiative shows our commitment to improving the health and wellbeing of our students and staff. Our participation earned our school $1000!

Our beloved annual tradition is right around the corner! Mark your calendars for Coosa's Field Day! Families are welcome to attend this event, but we ask that everyone check in at the front office upon arrival with a picture ID.

County Library - Summer Reading Program

County Library - Summer Reading Program

This week and next week in the library, the students are learning about the Beaufort County Library's Summer Reading Program! Coosa's returning students will also receive a token to our Book Vending Machine for completing the Summer Reading Program game card! More information and the game card will come home with each student before the end of the school year.

If you would like to see our 3rd-5th grade Chorus students perform, please come to our performance on May 23rd at 6:00pm in the cafeteria.

Note: 3rd grade chorus students will not rehearse on Tuesday, May 23. A letter was sent home this week with chorus students.

Fifth Grade Crossing Over Ceremony

It's hard to believe that our 5th Graders are winding down their elementary years and preparing to move on to Middle School. Our Crossing Over Ceremony will be held on Thursday, June 1 at 6:00 PM. Please mark your calendars. We look forward to seeing you.

Kindergarten Sing-Along

On June 2 at 9:00 a.m., we will host our annual Kindergarten Sing-along in the cafeteria. Lots of our students have family members attend this event. Please arrive early with a valid picture ID for entry into the building. ID's will be matched to your child's PowerSchool Account. Individuals that are not already listed in PowerSchool will need to be entered into our Ident-A-Kid system. If you have family members coming to this event, please alert them to this process prior to the event so the check-in process runs as smoothly as possible. Families may begin to arrive as early as 8:00 a.m.

End of the Year Celebrations

Many of our classrooms host end of the year celebrations with their students. During these celebrations, students often consume food that is brought in by our families. Please be on the lookout for communication from your child's teacher, if applicable. If you are uncomfortable with your child consuming "outside food/beverages" please notify the teacher as soon as possible.

YMCA Summer Camp

The YMCA will be hosting a Summer Camp for students that attend CES. Please contact them directly, if you are interested in your child attending.
