ConVal School Nurse Newsletter #3
November 2020
Hello ConVal Families!
As much as we would all like the Covid-19 pandemic to be over, now is not the time to relax our precautions. The CDC reminds us that the best way to prevent illness is to avoid being exposed to this virus. Covid-19 spreads when an infected person coughs, sneezes, or talks, producing respiratory droplets that can land in the mouth or nose of people nearby. This is why it is so important to continue to maintain 6 foot distance from others, wear masks, and stay home when experiencing any of the possible symptoms of Covid-19.
A reminder about screenings
Please continue to screen your student for possible Covid-19 symptoms each morning, and fill out your school's daily screener, if applicable. When reporting a student absent, please be specific with the student's symptoms, no matter how minor. Please contact your school nurse with any questions.

Reminder:
Since the holiday season can be especially stressful for people, the ConVal nurses would like to remind you of the importance of taking time for self care in order to promote a healthy and strong immune system. It is important to focus on healthy eating, regular physical activity, and getting enough sleep each night.
