SMCISD
Week of April 25
Mental health refers to our emotional and social well-being and impacts how we think, feel, and behave. It plays a role in connecting with others, making decisions, handling stress, and many other aspects of daily life. Everyone has mental health, and it deserves your attention just as much as your physical health does. SMCISD will GO GREEN on Monday, May 16, 2022. Please join us as we wear green to raise awareness and fight the stigma that is often associated with mental illnesses.
Safety Starts with Grayson
Everyday, Bowie Kindergartener, Grayson H. helps Ms. Garcia with her crosswalk duties. His spirit is infectious and his classmates are super supportive of the role he plays in making sure they are dismissed safely. Thank you to Ms. Garcia for going the extra mile and including Grayson.
May 2-6 is Teacher Appreciation Week! Thank you to our extraordinary SMCISD educators who rise to every occasion and meet every challenge with compassion, creativity, and care for all Rattlers. Central Office and the Board of Trustees have teamed up with San Marcos BBQ to provide a meal to all campus employees in celebration of Teacher Appreciation Week and National Principals' Day this week.
Please join us May 4, 2022, for our annual Teacher of the Year and Retiree parade, beginning at 5:30pm at San Marcos High School.
