PARENT CONFERENCES

We would like to meet with all parents to discuss your child's academic progress. Please look for sign-up information from your child's teacher. Preferred dates and time are given on a 'first come, first serve' basis so don't wait!

BOOK DRIVE

From August 17 through September 4th we will be hold a BOOK DRIVE in our classrooms. We are asking students to bring in their gently used books to increase our classroom libraries. For every book received your child will earn a special ticket that will go into a raffle where the first prize is lunch with the teacher. Students will put in their order and lunch will be delivered to eat with their respective teacher. Also, the student who donates the most books will receive a gift card as a token of our thanks. If possible, please write the reading level on the inside of the book cover. AR Book Finder is a great resource to determine the AR reading level and Book Scanner is a wonderful app (cost $1.99) that will scan the books barcode and let you know what level the book is. *Please see links below.

CURRICULUM NIGHT

Thank you to all who made it out to Curriculum Night last week. If you were not able to attend you may view the PowerPoint of the information covered. Please contact your child's teacher if you have any questions.

Achieve 3000: Kid Biz

Please note doing Achieve on an iPad WITHOUT using the free app may cause the usage report to show your child has NOT completed the required 2 articles per week even if they have done so. Please excuse any misunderstanding if our records show your child did not complete their assigned 2 articles. NOTE: Students will be choosing which articles to read for homework. Students will be striving for 75% or better on their FIRST TRY score. Please encourage your child to read, re-read and REFER TO ARTICLE when answering the activity questions. Thank you for your support!
