Dads of Great Students
Volunteer to be one of the WatchD.O.G.S. at our school! It's just a 5-Step process.
Step 2) Complete the WatchDOGS form to request your volunteer date. Allow 3 to 4 days advance notice, prior to volunteer date. Click here to request a date to be a WatchDOG on Campus.
Step 3) Order official Watch DOGS uniform. If you do not have a Watch DOGS uniform, Great Oaks will provide you with a Watch DOGS vest for the day. (WatchDOGstore link)
Step 4) The school day starts at 7:40 a.m. and we appreciate you being on time. On your scheduled day, please check in at the office. Present your photo ID to be scanned into Raptor. Once completed you will be provided with a badge and WatchDOGS schedule. When you're finished in the office, please come to the library with your student to have your photo taken.
Step 5) Complete the End of Day Survey.
Some program benefits-
Schools gain an extra set of eyes.
The presence of a father figure enhances a sense of security at the building and helps create an environment more conducive to learning.
Students gain a positive male role model.
Many students do not have a father-figure present in their home and these students benefit when a positive male role model is present.
Fathers gain a greater awareness.
Positive male role models can impact students' academic performance, self esteem and social behavior.
Have Questions?
If you're unsure of anything while you're volunteering at school, please ask in the office or find a staff member and we'll be happy to try and answer any questions you may have.
