Billing Clerk/Assistant
Pala, CA
Full time/Temporary
monitor our revenues. You will be responsible for keeping track of money owed
to us by customers, preparing invoices and updating records. You will also be
responsible with receiving payments and deposits.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage account balances to discover outstanding debts or other inconsistencies
Collect all information needed to calculate bills receivable
Check the data input in the accounting system to ensure accuracy of final bill
Issue invoices and bills and send them to customers
Issue customer account statements monthly
Receive payments through various methods (cash, checks, etc.) and check for credibility
Send reminders for payments and contact customers when assigned
Update accounting records with new payments, balances, customer information
Answer questions and handle complaints from customers regarding bills
Report on activity to upper management
Must present positive interaction with the public in a professional and courteous manner via telephone, personal contact, professional appearance, presentation, etc.
Organization and office skills, knowledge of office equipment, computer literate.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, Certifications and Abilities:
Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel); Working knowledge of relevant
software(e.g. Springbrook) would be appreciated but not necessary
Excellent math ability
Good organizational skills
Excellent Communication Skills
High school diploma a must, further education will be a plus
Knowledge of standard business English, spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
Standard office practices and procedures.
Ability to operate or learn to operate common office machines.
Maintain office files and records.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent or one year experience in related field.
