Hour of Code
The students had a great time during the Hour of Code week learning concepts such as: algorithms, conditional statements, and looping. These third graders finished their assigned coding puzzles and earned their Hour of Code Certificates of Completion! If your student has not earned theirs, never fear! I am resuming the Hour of Code fun so your child will earn their certificates soon.
Library Fun
Read aloud time is the best! I've been continuing to read aloud during the first part of library class with books like Suzanne Collins' Gregor The Overlander (4th and 5th Grades), Roald Dahl's The Witches (3rd Grade), Sara Pennypacker's The Talented Clementine (2nd Grade), Ruth Stiles Gannett's My Father's Dragon series (1st Grade), and an assortment of audio book favorites for Kindergarten.
As always, library books are due each week. Please help your child remember to return them.
Genius Hour

Genius Hour is rolling right along. Mrs. Coster has been wonderfully supportive by redesigning our Innovation Lab with new furniture, a new whiteboard, and brand new materials for the students to use in their Genius Projects! Thank you Mrs. Coster!
