Keep Music Alive!
Fundraiser for the Altoona Symphony
Keep Music Alive!
Come and experience the joyous rhythm and sounds of the St. Francis World Drumming Ensemble, lead by Jim Donovan, an award winning musician, teacher, and founding member of the multi-platinum band Rusted Root from 1990-2005.
Recently voted "Drum Circle Facilitator of the Year" by the readers of DRUM! Magazine, Jim offers regular trainings, workshops and seminars in the US and Europe that focus on using rhythm, drumming and voice to assist with personal development, and in bringing communities together.
Our Keep Music Alive! fundraiser is designed to not only raise funds for the Altoona Symphony, but also to dissolve boundaries between "trained" and "untrained" musicians so that our community can come together through the art of making music. Sounds will echo through the large gymnasium creating a fun festive atmosphere for everyone to enjoy, and audience members may participate in whatever way they feel inspired and guided to do.
Let's support music in all of its variety and expression...come out and help us Keep Music Alive in our community!!!!
