Exciting Change Coming to Maple Dale!
Dear Parents,
We would like to let you know of an exciting change coming to the end-of-the-day routine at Maple Dale! Beginning on November 6, we will begin curbside pickup of students who are normally picked up from the Media Center.
Parents and guardians will be permitted to pull into the circular driveway and we will bring your student to you!
Each parent will be issued two car placards that will identify students in their family. These should be placed on the car rearview mirror so the number is visible. No child will be released unless we can verify that a school-issued placard is in the window.
More specific information about this change will be coming home in Monday packets on October 23. Families will receive their car placards the week of October 30.
We are choosing to change our typical routine due to a lack of parking spaces at dismissal time and to help parents save time. It is our hope that we can dismiss all students being picked up in a more timely fashion as well.
Should you have questions about this change, please feel free to reach out to Mrs. Reinke or Mrs. Zellner.
We look forward to a smooth transition to this new system!
The Front Office Team,
Angie, Kathy, Jenny, Mindy and Ann Marie
Looking to volunteer during the day???? The Buddy Program has grown!!
We are looking for volunteers to come in each week for thirty minutes to work with a specific child or small group of children. These volunteers need to be willing to commit to the same time and day each week. We do understand that things come up, however, our goal with this program is not only to improve academics, but also build a positive relationship with an adult role model. So consistency is key! This year we have expanded beyond just reading buddies.
Reading Buddies- work one-on-one with a child on reading skills.
Math Buddies- work with a small group of children on math skills.
Homework Buddies- help some of our students that go to champions complete their homework.
Each buddy will be provided with a basket of activities, work to complete, books to read, and more. All you have to do is love our kids and show up each week! Sign up for one session, or as many as you would like!
Please fill out the following survey (BELOW) and we will get you set up with a buddy or buddies as soon as possible!

October Newsletter 2017 ~ Mason Middle School where the museum opens before-hours for a sensory-friendly experience. Entry is free and open to families with children with autism. A project of this type is completely unprecedented, occurring for the very first time right here in the Cincinnati area. This ground-breaking artistic collaboration magnifies voices which often go unheard, but whose messages resonate deeply. These four youths’ powerful words and the composers’ musical responses have inspired Lynx Project to ask communities, “how will you speak into the world today”?
