Possible Themes

It is right to manipulate to get our way or wishes

Quote 1 : Master

"Boatswain"

Boatswain

"I'm Here , Sir . How Can I Help You ? "

Master

"My Good Boy , Give The Others Sailors A Pep Talk And Do It Fast , Before We're Ship Wrecked . Hurry , Hurry ! "

Explanation : This Goes With My Quote Because It A Master & Servant Relationship So In A Way The Master Is Manipulating The Boatswain.

Quote 2 : Ariel

"That's My Noble Master ! What Shall I Do ? Say What ; What Shall I Do ? "

Prospero

"Go disguise yourself as a sea nymph. Be invisible to everyone except yourself and me. Take this garment, put it on, and then come back here. Hurry, go!"

Explanation : Ariel Is Asking Prospero For Personal Advice , This Goes With My Quote Because Prospero Is Manipulating Ariel Into Doing Something That Good For Him *Prospero*

Important Quotes

GONZALO

Good, yet remember whom thou hast aboard

BOATSWAIN

None that I more love than myself. You are a councilor. If you can command these elements to silence and work the peace of the present, we will not hand a rope more. Use your authority. If you cannot, give thanks you have lived so long and make yourself ready in your cabin for the mischance of the hour, if it so hap.—Cheerly, good hearts!—Out of our way, I say.

This play would be different because if it wasn’t for gonzalo for telling boatswain to think about who is on the ship then he wouldn’t have changed his mind and they would have never calmed the storm down.

BOATSWAIN

Down with the topmast! Yare, lower, lower! Bring her to try wi' th' main course.

Yet again? What do you here? Shall we give o'er and drown?

Have you a mind to sink?

SEBASTIAN

A pox o' your throat, you bawling, blasphemous, incharitable dog!

BOATSWAIN

Work you, then

ANTONIO

Hang, cur! Hang, you whoreson insolent noisemaker! We are less afraid to be drowned than thou art.

GONZALO

I’ll warrant him for drowning though the ship were no stronger than a nutshell and as leaky as an unstanched wench.

BOATSWAIN

Lay her a-hold, a-hold! Set her two courses off to sea again.

Lay her off!

If Antonio, Boatswain and Gonzalo would just talk out the situation and not fight then everything would be normal and nothing would have happen.
