  • May 2014 - ISIS kidnaps more than 140 schoolboys in Syria
  • June 2014 - About 1.2 million Iraqis forced from their homes
  • August 2014 - In Sinjar, 500 men killed, 70 children died of thirst, women sold into slavery, and more than 300,000 families stranded in the mountains
  • January 2015 - ISIS posts a video of the decapitated body of a journalist
  • November 2015 - Paris attacks which killed about 130 innocent people
