Principal's Message
Dear Families,
Last week the state released the newest guidelines for our students to return to school campuses. An update related to that information will be shared at the Cambrian Board Meeting tonight at 7:00 pm. The State of California Safe Schools for All Hub consolidates key resources and information related to COVID-19 and schools. New resources will be added to the Hub on a routine basis.
At this point, we are preparing for in-person instruction using a hybrid model at a time determined safe according to state and county health guidelines. While we do not know the exact date of our return to in person learning we do know that the hybrid model allows half of our school’s student population to attend school 8:15 - noon on Mondays and Tuesdays (cohort A), and the other half on Thursdays and Fridays (cohort B).
In preparation for students returning to our school campus, Fammatre staff has been hard at work collaborating to plan classroom cohorts taking a number of important factors into consideration, including Special Education services, classes consisting of two grade levels (combos), siblings, and other conditions and practices used to build effective and supportive classes.
This afternoon teachers will send an email to parents informing them of which cohort their child is in: A on Mondays and Tuesdays; or B on Thursdays and Fridays. Our Special Day Class students will be attending in person instruction all four mornings.
Remember, these cohorts are not happening now and will be in effect only when we return to in person instruction in a hybrid model. Advanced notice will be provided to our school community when we have a date for returning to in person instruction so families have time to plan accordingly.
Thank you for your patience as we continue to prepare for a safe return to campus for everyone.
Warmly,
Jackie Smith
Principal

On Going Events & Information
US Department of Agriculture Extends Free Meal Programs for the Entire School Year
Free brown bag meals are available for pickup at Price Middle School, Monday through Friday from 11 am-1 pm. Daily service provides lunch for that day and breakfast for the following day. Friday service also provides breakfast and lunch for Saturday and Sunday and breakfast for Monday. These meals are free to every child aged 18 and younger. You do not need to show any ID and children do not need to be present to receive meals.
Applications to apply for subsidized meal programs are available online at https://family.titank12.com. These applications not only provide access to much-needed benefits for our families; they also serve as a data point used to generate additional revenues we rely on as a District. For this reason, we encourage all of our families to complete the application process even if they may not elect to participate in the meal program. This will ensure we are maximizing our revenue opportunities which will allow us to continue offering excellent educational programs that make us Cambrian. We look forward to continuing to serve our students and provide an important home to school link for our students.

Notice of Public Meeting: Fammatre Comprehensive School Safety Plan
Pursuant to Education Code 32288, every year public school administrators must hold a School Site Council public meeting to discuss and adopt our school's comprehensive school safety plan.
As part of the process, the public are provided an opportunity at this meeting to provide feedback on the plan. Please note this is an annual process to ensure schools have plans in place for emergencies and safety protocols. The Comprehensive School Safety Plan is not a COVID-19 specific school safety plan, although there is a generic section around response to a pandemic in the plan.

Cambrian Students Need Your Support
Due to chronic state underfunding, declining enrollment, and the COVID-19 pandemic, the Cambrian School District is facing a budget deficit. Since early 2019, the District has been assessing potential district-owned land development opportunities to create additional on-going, annual revenue to sustain our award-winning programs.
You can help PROTECT STUDENT PROGRAMS by supporting the "Support Our Students" land development initiative. Thirty seconds of your time can help generate hundreds of thousands of dollars in ongoing, annual revenue without increasing taxes in the community.
