Peek at the Week
January 8-12, 2018
Digital Learning Day
- Students are responsible for the classes that they would attend on that particular day. For example if it's an A day students attend the odd classes so only work for those classes is expected.
- Make sure you are aware of the teacher's preferred method of communication in case there are questions. Many of our teachers use Remind.
- Treat the day like a school day. We begin at 9:20 so have your child "follow" their schedule for the day when completing assignments.
- Smart devices can be used to connect to eClass.
- Have your student show you how to navigate eClass on a non DL day just so you're aware. Trust me, they know how to do it.
This first DLD experience was an adjustment. We have heard mixed reviews so far. If you would like to share your thoughts, please click here.
Shiloh Dads...we're looking for you!
Parent Observation
- Observations are for you to see how things are being done in the classroom and how your student is responding.
- If you need to meet with the teacher, please schedule a conference.
- Teachers are not available to speak with you about specific issues during instruction time.
- The classroom is a learning environment so we ask that you put your phone on silent or turn it off.
To all 8th grade students
What to do if you have a concern.
- Contact your child's teacher to voice your concern. Teachers can be emailed through the parent portal. Please allow 24 to 36 hours for them to respond. Teachers are not available by phone during the day. The best way to contact them is through email.
- If further attention is needed, contact you child's grade level Assistant Principal.
- If you continue to have a concern after contacting the teacher and Assistant Principal, contact Dr. Welch through email.
Volunteers needed
We need volunteers every Thursday but your presence is always valued. Click here to let us know your availability to volunteer.
The school store needs a volunteer Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8:45-9:30.
