Vacations and PTO
Who do you contact concerning vacation credit? Asking a teacher will get you no where. Please email Mr. Mike at michael@ilovethetotspot.com
In the Classroom!
Remind Me App: It's a free app that we're using to for simple reminders like show and share, friend of the week, physical due dates, etc. Our class code is 26kh9g
We have 4 Friends turning 3 this month and I think the Sherlock's class with have 3 of them. So I new class number will be 16. We will welcome Preston, Gianna, and Hannah starting the 28th /when we get back from vacation.
Sensory, Art, Science:
We're going to enjoy making play dough again and various experiments with peppermints, popcorn, painting with pipettes and balloons. Other experiments also include a ton of rainbow activities. We have disappearing rainbows, fizzy rainbows, rainbow ice, rainbow salt, rainbow crystals, rainbow milk, rainbow skittles compared to rainbow m/m, rainbow density, and a few more. I only have rockets, and rain in a jar without rainbows so I think I might be obsessed. Oh and B week has painting with balls and balloons and we have some bubble and balloon experiments. I'm pretty sure February will be a repeat because there's just so many and they're all so awesome!
Math:
Did you know we have snack math every day? Ask you kiddo what they learned at snack. This month we're going to be adding and subtracting with every art and fine motor activity. Before they rotate from an activity they will add up all their parts, tell the teacher, and then subtract all their parts.
Gross Motor: Some days we only get out for 10 min so we've slowed down a bit on the structured game time. When they do have the opportunity to go outside I just want them to run around as much as possible.
Fine Motor: We'll continue or sign language and using our fingers to add and subtract. We will also string pipe cleaners, create play-doh robots, and connect paperclips. We will also be using pipe cleaners, rocks, and blocks to create letters. And of course lots of squeezing of pipettes and removing rubber bands.
Operation Tot Spot Gives Back!!
Congrats to the.......Us!!!!!!!! We are the winners of our Pajama Drive! :) TTS raised 72 pairs of pajamas. Scholastic will match our pajama donations and donate 72 books as well. We managed to beat last year by 9 pajamas and I hope next year we can collect even more! Thank you to all who contributed. Some kiddos are going to be super thankful to have nice warm pjs to wear. TTS Parents are the BEST!!!!
Reminders
- Please don't forget show and share items for Thursday. You can bring them in anytime before Thursday if you'd like to make sure your kiddo has an item.
- Don't forget to tell your kiddos to wash their hand in the morning at drop off.
Tax Time is Approaching....
Dear Tot Spot Families,
I am sending this email because we are getting close to the end of the year and therefore close to tax season. Because of our changes from Rapid Tuition to Tuition Express there will be two-year end summaries (a mid year summary for Rapid Tuition and a year-end summary). I emailed all our families when we transferred from Rapid Tuition at the time of the change, so please check your email history for that email. As far as Tuition Express, every family has direct access to your billing receipts through www.myprocare.com . If you have already signed up with www.myprocare.com you are ahead of the game. However, if you have not, you can register from this link www.myprocare.com. You will use the email you received this message from to login. If you have any problems, please let me know.
Thanks again,
Michael Ramsey
Winter is here!

Everything can turn into a sensory activity or learning experience. So, before you throw out your junk, ask your teacher if it could be used
The Teacher's Spotlight
Question: Would you rather be able to be invisible for a day or fly for a day and why?
- Ms. Alisha: Neither. I’d rather be able to read people’s minds. But if I have to choose invisible so I can move things around and prank people. (Nothing important of course)
- Ms. Maggie: I would want to fly. I would want to fly because i could get more done in a day if I could fly
- Mr. Mike: Fly so I could see from a different prospective
- Ms. Le Andra: I would rather be invisible. I'm a nosy person so I could gets lot of information if nobody knew I was there!
- Ms. Katie: I would rather be able to fly for a day. I'd spend my day traveling as far and wide as I could to see new things.
Ms. Erin: I'd rather be invisible because then you could find out what your friends and coworkers really think of you
Good Bye Ms. Danielle
Tot Spot Parents,
I want to first off thank you for all that you do. You have all been so amazing to me while I have been here. Thank you for letting me get to know and love your kiddos like they are my own. It has truly been a pleasure getting to know each and every one of them and watching them grow and become who they are.
My last day will be January 4th.
Again, I have been extremely blessed while working here and from the bottom of my heart thank you for all being so kind in opening your arms and being such a great second family for me.
I will never forget you or your children. I hope you all the best
Danielle
