Obesity Problems.

When you are obese, you usually have many problems. Some of these problems may include stress, depression, bullying, and low self esteem. Many overweight teens are very insecure about themselves. This could even lead to suicidal thoughts. This is why you need to treat teen obesity seriously. It is a real problem, and we need to do something about it.

Among teens ages 12 to 19, 18 percent are obese, according to the 2008 data. This is triple the proportion of overweight youth in 1980. Furthermore, data suggests that 30 percent children and teens ages 6 to 19 are overweight.

Solutions.

Some ways to prevent teen obesity are eating healthy and exercising. Try to cut the junk food, and try more fruits and vegetables. Also, stay off your electronics and turn off that TV. Instead, find a hobby that you can enjoy, like a sport.
