CATCHING THEM IN THE ACT
A Conservatory Prep Weekly E-Newsletter
What a week!!!
We started out the week at Robbins Lodge. In the morning, Mr. Friedman went back to the Middle Ages to discuss the origins of medicine. Following, Mrs. Billie came and presented on Native history and culture. We were all fascinated by facts we did not know.
After a delicious pot luck lunch, the students taught the classes! The remainder of the students and the staff were the students. We all learned so much and it was wonderful to see each student shine in an area of their interest.
Tuesday, after the parent breakfast, a representative from the Wilkes Honors College in Jupiter came and met with students who were interested. The Honors College has had several of our graduates over the years and they want more!!
Wednesday, we had the rare opportunity for a U.S. Ambassador to address our students in our own school. The students spent some time learning about the history of Israel and Dan Shapiro's legacy as the U.S. Ambassador to Israel under Obama. He graciously answered the questions the students had prepared prior to his speech. He was so impressed with our students that he asked if he could come back!
Progress reports will be out by Tuesday. You will each receive via email.
Monday, October 8th a representative from Lynn University will be visiting at 9:30AM. The presentation is open to students and parents.
