Amerigo Vespucci
By Daniel Frenkel
Life Before and After Traveling to America
Amerigo Vespucci held a series of jobs including merchant, steward, banker, and ultimately a ship outfitting business. When people had conversations about exploring, it sparked interest in Amerigo. In 1497 he went with a fleet of Spanish ships to the western pattern which is a different way to get to the Indies, but eventually landed in central America, however we will talk about that latter. Before he went to America he explored a lot in the coast of Brazil, and in the course of the expedition discovered the Amazon river. He also discovered the present day riodeshawrarow also pronounced as Native Americans. He also failed on two or three missions to the new world before he actually made it. After his missions he went to live in Spain where he was offered to be a office of pilot manager. He died of Malaria in Spain. The new world (America) is a version of the name Amerigo Vespucci because he was a great man and a great explorer.
