Kraft Mac and Cheese Taste Test
Home style and Original mac
Problem
Will participants be able to tell the difference between Home Style and Original Macaroni in a taste test? We chose macaroni because it was something different from most things.

Hypothesis
If we do a blind taste test then the participants will be able to tell the difference between the two Kraft brands because the Home Style Macaroni has bigger noodles, and uses a liquid cheese sauce instead of a powder.
Test Type
We chose to do a triangular test to see whether people could tell the difference between Home Style and Original Macaroni.
Experiment
For our experiment we needed:
- Cups
- Crock pot
- Microwave
- Original Macaroni
- Home Style Macaroni
- Buy items at store.
- Read directions to make macaroni.
- Take items to school.
- Warm up macaroni in microwave.
- Add milk to macaroni.
- Set up cups with macaroni according to the randomizer.
- Blind fold participants.
- Have them taste all three macaroni samples.
- Have them fill out survey.
- Thank Participants.
Data/Observations
After our group researched the two types of Kraft mac we found that the only main difference besides taste between the two was the look of them, so we had to blindfold all of our participants. We also observed that the Home Style Mac was more money than the Original.
Conclusion
In conclusion we did not reject our hypothesis because 60% of the participants successfully chose the Home Style Macaroni, as the different one. One mistake our group made is that we made way to much macaroni. It also seems that people were distracted by the blindfolds.
