One aspect of PBS is being respectful. We focus on being respectful in all settings of the school. For example in the classroom, we ask the students to raise their hand to talk, work quietly and complete their work.

Title I Helpful Hints
End of the year reading testing will be coming up soon. Here are some ways you can help support your reader at home.
** Knd- Have students point to the words on the page to match print. This will help them not add words. Go back and correct mistakes. Retell, Retell, Retell …Start at the beginning of the book, include character names, and events in order. Share favorite part and what it makes them think about in their life.
**1st- Have students read to make it sound like they are talking. Have your reader start at the beginning of the book, include character names, and events in order. Try to think about what the author was trying to tell you in the story (the lesson). Talk about what the most important part is and why it is important.
**2nd- Have students read to make it sound like they are talking. Read first part of the story and then share facts about the characters and predictions. Finish reading the story. Students will write their answers for the summary, what the most important part is, and why they think it is important.
Remember to get a good night’s rest and eat a healthy breakfast. All your support at home makes a huge difference.
