Key facts
* Constructed a naturalistic account of the various forms of government and of those causes it made them what they were and that advanced/ constrained their development.
* He had a strong belief of the theory of separations of powers.
* Baron was born on January nineteenth 1689 at La Brede near Bordeaux.
* He also created the spirit of the laws in 1731.
Basic Beliefs
Montesquieu argued that the best government would be one in which power was balanced among three groups of officials. Montesquieu called the idea of dividing government power into three branches the "separation of powers." He thought it most important to create separate branches of government with equal but different powers. That way, the government would avoid placing too much power with one individual or group of individuals. He had hoped that the knowledge of laws would reduce problems of society and improve human life.
My Take
In my opinion i would say that Baron was a democracy believer. i say this due to all of his beliefs on government and aspects on life. He believes in equality following laws, freedom, etc. just as a democracy would.
