Harborfields - Fall/Winter Edition 2022
Long Island Ed Tech Summit
This year, the 2022 LITES Conference was back in action! Dr. John Spencer dazzled the crowd with his exceptional keynote address. Dr. John Spencer spoke about the idea of "Vintage Innovation." Below are key points that Dr. Spencer spoke about:
- Technology alone will not transform learning. Teachers transform learning!
- In an automated world, sometimes students still need low-tech tools (duct tape and cardboard are awesome!)
- Be adaptable (mistakes are part of the learning process)
- Gadgets will break and technology will change, but teachers will be at the heart of innovation
Dr. John Spencer has compiled many resources (including Project Based Learning resources). Please click here to access the material.
