March 2019
Mission: Excellence is our plan, by learning all we can!
Our school year is going by fast! It's hard to believe we've finished February and will end our third quarter on March 15th! Thus far, our classrooms have worked so hard and accomplished so much. As I'm observing classrooms, it's amazing to see the high levels of engagement and hands-on learning taking place. Our professional development days have allowed teachers to work on implementing technology in the classroom, expanding knowledge on reading, and data teaming to monitor the progress of student learning. We are so pleased to see the positive student outcomes that are in place each and every day. As we finish out our school year, please contact our office if you have any questions or need assistance. We appreciate all you do in helping Bush School achieve and work towards meeting our goals for academic excellence!

March Calendar
Morning Arrival at Bush
School begins at 7:55 am. Free breakfast is served from 7:40 to 7:55 am.
AM Car Riders - Supervised arrival at Bush begins at 7:30 am to 7:55 am. Please use the center lane (near shelter) in the front of the school. Avoid the lanes closest to the school as this is the bus lane and it needs to remain unblocked by cars. All students need to be dropped off in the center lane of our front drive. Bush staff will be supervising this area, along with our student safety patrol. Bush staff will also direct traffic to help ensure your child's safety. Remind students to not cross the crosswalk without a teacher telling them to do so.
There is no supervision before 7:30 am. The Fulton School District does provide a before and after school childcare program (BAC-PAC) for students who need to arrive before 7:45 am. Please call Julie Bell at 590-8080 if you would like to enroll your child in the BAC-PAC program

PTO News by Virginia Steffens, President
Conference meals were provided for the teachers on February 12th and 13th. Thanks to those that help organize the meals and provided items as needed. The teachers very much appreciated our support!
PTO hosted Muffins with Mom on January 18th and Donuts with Dad on February 22nd! What a fabulous turn out we had for both and we were happy to see so many parents attend these events! Our Valentine's Dance was held on Feburary 9th and we had so much fun!
As we begin planning for our next school year, please consider being an officer and helping us complete the activities planned for Bush School. Your help would be greatly appreciated! Please contact me if you have questions.
Boxtops for Education were mailed in on February 24th for a total of $160. Our Bush Stuco Members took time to cut and paste the labels on the mailing sheets. We very much appreciate their help. Please keep saving the labels as we received $.10 per each. All funds continue to go into our playground account.
In April, we will be hosting our BOGO Bookfair during the week of April 7th. It's a good time to catch up on purchasing some great books for summer reading!
I'll be doing an update on Facebook Live during the first week of March! See you then!
