Thank You to these local businesses
Mrs. Beane and Mrs. Constantine's classes would like to thank the following local businesses for being our partners in education: Great Harvest Bread Company, Kensington Valley Varsity, and Running Lab. They welcomed us into their businesses last week for an informative economics tour. We saw first hand how goods and services are provided, how opportunity cost is ever-present, how capital/human/natural resources are bought to produce goods, and how local businesses truly enhance our community.
We also had the pleasure of meeting our city manager and learning how local government is structured. We now have a new appreciation for all that happens around us each day.
We ask if you are looking to be a consumer in Brighton, that you support these local businesses first. Thank you!

News & Events From Around the District
The McKinney Vento Act
The Brighton Area Schools is part of a consortium to serve students in temporary living situations that provides financial support for educational needs, referral for housing, clothing and other needs, general support and technical assistance. To ensure compliance with federal law, all school staff must help identify student living in the following situations: emergency shelters/transitional housing, motels/hotels, car, parks or public spaces, shared housing due to a loss of housing or economic hardship, or living temporarily with non-parent or guardian.
The district’s homeless liaison is Starr Acromite and each building has trained staff members to assist in the endeavor. Our consortium contact at the Livingston Educational Service Agency is Candice Uyttendaele.
Please contact your building principal or Starr Acromite at 810-299-4040 for information/assistance.
