2. KMS Artists! Mrs. Camara's Class
Inspired by artist Claes Oldenburg's Pop Art movement, students from Ms. Sanchez's class created "My favorite hamburger."
They created their favorite array of food toppings using the elements of art, texture, color and shapes. Students incorporated mixed media using a variety of materials in their creations. A component of Art literacy was integrated in the art project.
A special THANK YOU to Mrs. Taylor & Mrs. Abendroth for inspiration in exploring and making art fun for their students.
3. Rhode Island State Survey (RISS)
The town of Bristol/Warren has received a grant from the Department of Behavioral Health, Developmental Disabilities and Hospitals (BHDDH), to continue strengthening Bristol/Warren’s capacity to address youth substance abuse. A requirement of this grant is that the school collects survey information about substance use attitudes and behaviors from high /middle school students. This survey is scheduled to be administered to students during the 2019-2020 school year between February and June of 2020. KMS will be taking the survey March 23rd.
4. Order your 2020 KMS Yearbook Today!
There will be a form coming home later this week for 8th grade families to add messages to their 8th grader in the yearbook.

A WIN-WIN-WIN SITUATION
