Olympic Ending to the Year?
With the end of the year just around the corner and the Olympics this summer, why not end the year on an Olympic note? Matt Miller, from Ditch That Textbook, has a great post with free templates and ideas for creating an Olympic Themed ending to the school year with students. The templates and ideas could be adapted for any grade/subject area.

Google Earth Video Tours
Google has partnered with environmental scientists and activists to create Google Earth video tours of different regions of the Earth to learn about the impact of climate change. Might be more for intermediate grades. Check it out at Climate Change in Google Earth.

EcoKids created by Earth Day Canada, provides many fun digital activities and games for students to explore ways to help protect the Earth. Students can explore the interactive lessons on their own or as a whole class at the SmartBoard.
