TOO SICK FOR SCHOOL
In deciding whether your child should come to school, please keep the following guidelines in mind. Any child with these symptoms should NOT come to school:
- Fever of 100 or higher; children should not return to school until fever-free for 24 hours without the use of medication
- Vomiting or diarrhea within the past 24 hours
Please establish and encourage healthy habits with your children to help prevent the spread of illness at school.
- Teach children to wash hands thoroughly with soap for at least 20 seconds. Handwashing is the single most effective way to prevent the spread of disease
- Provide healthy foods and plenty of water, please make sure to send a water bottle with your student to school every day
- Ensure your child gets plenty of rest and engages in physical activity
- Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces
- Keep your child home if they are sick, and avoid contact with sick individuals
Thank you for your help in keeping our students and staff healthy!
