Why Is Vulnerability Important?

Dr. Brene Brown is well-known for her work on exposing what is vulnerability. She argues that it is likely our strongest asset. But why is vulnerability so important for professionals? As an instructional coach, one of the things I frequently notice is that teachers (generally speaking) often are perfectionists, or have a problem with suggestions for or questions about their teaching, or hesitate to share when something's just not going right.
