The 13th Admendment

The 13th Amendment has been passed by the Senate on April 8, 1864. The 13th Amendment states that "Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States..".While most people see this as an historic event, many states ratified it by December 6,1865.

What is next?

Thousands of slaves roam the south in search of a new home. A home in the North seems like a easy travel for most people, but for these former slave it's far from easy. They face angry southerns, harsh weather, and exhaustion. But there is hope for them, in a place where they don't face segregation or discrimination.
