Holiday Sharing Brings Joy to District 41 Families

District 41 PTA Council Community Outreach group has made the holidays bright for over 600 children in more than 230 families this year! For 15 years, the community has come together to provide gifts, books and grocery gift cards to District 41 families in need.

Thank you to our partners Operation Christmas, St. Petronille CCW, Glen Ellyn Juniors, District 41 parents and staff from all five schools and the district office, District 41 Board of Education, Glen Ellyn Children’s Resource Center, Glendale Heights Police Department, Goldfish Swim School, and Wheaton Yamaha Music School!

A special thank you to community members and program organizers Teresa Crawford and Karen Winter for their time and dedication to this special program.

Benjamin Franklin 5th Graders Connect with Students in Spain

Benjamin Franklin 5th grade students have connected with other 10 year old students who live in Madrid, Spain, through their Foreign Language at the Elementary School (FLES) classes. The students are enrolled in English immersion classes in Spain. Franklin teacher Ms. Marquez's daughter is a teaching assistant in Madrid and arranged for Franklin students to become pen pals with the students at the school Colegio Agustiniano in Spain.

D41 Parent Camp @Lincoln February 1, 2020

Please save the date for the 5th Annual District 41 Parent Camp on Saturday, February 1, 2020, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Abraham Lincoln School. Parent Camp is an "unconference," meaning that sessions are meant to start a conversation and engage all the members of the small group as opposed to the traditional "stand and deliver" format of a traditional conference.

All District 41 families and staff are welcome to attend this free conference! The theme once again is "What's Good For Kids?" The morning is split into three 40 minute sessions. If you (and a friend!) have an idea for a session, please submit this form.

5ESSENTIALS Parent Survey

District 41 relies on parent feedback when planning for the future. Please share your thoughts through the annual 5Essentials survey. The survey ends on February 14. Each school needs a response rate of at least 20% to receive a results report. Thank you for your participation!
