BCMS News and Notes....Summer, Summer, Summertime!

Summer vacation is in full swing! Part of our building is under renovations and the other part is under intense cleaning! Our custodians are doing a great job getting classrooms ready to rock and roll for the first day of classes on August 7th!


We have lots of new faces joining our Bryan County Middle School team! Stay tuned for their pictures and bios in our August newsletter! As of current count, we have TEN new Redskins joining our middle school family officially, including our new Assistant Principal, Mr. Scott! Mr. Scott is ready to ROCK and ROLL. Mr. Scott brings an enthusiasm unknown to mankind! He can't wait to see your happy faces on August 7th!


BCMS may be on "summer break" but we still are busy in the building! We are making schedules, organizing supplies, cleaning up classrooms, there are lots of preparations under way to make this the #BestYearYet. We can't wait for August!

Local School Council- September 12th

Local School Council will kick off the 17-18 School Year by hosting a Muffin Breakfast on Tuesday September 12th at 8:00 AM. Mark your calendars and learn all about the awesome things going on at BCMS! We would love to have you join us!

PTO needs YOU

Are you interested in joining our PTO Family? We love our room parents in middle school and would love for you to help out by joining our PTO Family. We need lots of help to make sure our middle schoolers are taken care of! PTO helps us with Awards and Assemblies, they help make bulletin boards, they coordinate amazing appreciation days, they organize fundraisers, and they assist teachers in special projects for their learning experiences. The first meeting is August 29th! Learn more about PTO at OPEN HOUSE and be apart of it!

  • July 10th- Home Visits-- Ms. Raeburn, Mr. Scott, and Mr. Wright will be dropping by to say HEY.....and chat with RISING 6th graders!
  • July 27th Rise UP Redskin Summer Session, 9-12 (For Rising 6th graders)
  • August 2, OPEN HOUSE, 5:30
  • August 7th BACK to School!
  • August 18th ALL School PBIS Cookout
  • August 29th PTO Meeting and Community Expo night 6-7

Seventh Grade Gets a NEW Science Lab

As part of the North Bryan summer renovations, our 7th grade scholars will be getting a brand new, beautiful Science Lab! Coach Butler will be moving into his new learning space around July 25th! Get ready to take your Science skills to the next level!

You Make A Difference....

Congratulations to Mr. Keith Wright, extraordinary Athletic Director and Assistant Principal! Mr. Wright is our JUNE: YOU Make A Difference Award Winner! Just in the month of June, Mr. Wright was able to coordinate and supervise summer school while preparing for the FALL 2017 sports season. Mr. Wright is always checking grounds, organizing schedules, hiring and meeting coaches, checking on practices....he is the mastermind behind Bryan County Athletics! We are so thankful for his dedication to the Redskin family! Thank you Mr. Wright, you truly make a difference in the lives of all our Redskins!
