Sherman ISD Joins the Go Red Challenge
Our district is proud to participate in the American Heart Association’s Go Red District Heart Challenge! We want to inspire staff to get their blood pressure checked, be active and learn about how to keep our hearts healthy. By partnering with the American Heart Association, we will raise awareness and help fight heart disease and stroke, the No. 1 killer and No. 5 killers of Americans.
On Friday, February 7th, our district will GO RED to support the mission of the American Heart Association – building healthier lives free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke. T-Shirts must be ordered by Wednesday, January 15th to receive them in time for National Wear RED Day. The campus with the highest percentage of donations will receive a healthy snack basket for your breakroom!
HOW TO ORDER: Simply text DHCSHERMAN to 41444. You will immediately receive a link to a quick donation form. You can also CLICK HERE or the image below to order online!

Texoma Chevy Dealers' Teacher of the Month Program
The Texoma Chevy Dealers' Teacher of the Month Program recognizes outstanding people in education. They have not received many nominations from our area and we want Sherman ISD to make some nominations! Nominate a teacher in your school that inspire you!
Texoma Chevy Dealers will award $500 to the selected Teacher of the Month and KTEN will run a feature story in their mid-day news at 11 a.m. on Fridays. Teachers can be nominated by a student, parent, school administrator, or member of the community. Submit your nominations here.
This is an excellent way for your school to show appreciation to your teachers for their hard work in and out of the classroom. Let's fill up their nominations with awesome SISD teachers!
Nominate a Teacher for Katy Country’s 2019-2020 Teacher of the Year Program!
Here’s all you need to do to nominate YOUR favorite teacher:
Fill out the official online nomination form at the link below. This form may be completed by administrators, other teachers, parents, and students. The more information received about the nominee, the better opportunity the nominee has to be chosen as the Katy Country Teacher of the Month by our judges.
Winners will be chosen once per month, September 2019 through May 2020.
Each month, judges will choose the winning teacher among the nominees and that teacher will receive a plaque and a check for $750.
Each month’s winning teacher is invited to the Katy Country studios for an interview where they are presented their award.
