NOMINATING COMMITTEE NEEDED FOR 2022 EXECUTIVE BOARD
We are now seeking two or three parent volunteers to serve on this year’s Nominating Committee to help place our new Executive Board for 2022. The Executive Board positions are a January - December commitment. If you would like to help and/or know of someone who would be a good nominee that may like to serve on next year’s Executive Board, please reach out to: president@roswellband.com. The committee will only operate until a slate for the Executive Board for 2022 is completed. (Estimated time that you would serve on the Nominating Committee is 1-2 months.) The Nominating Committee is traditionally made up of general association members (non-Executive Board) who provide a short list of active members interested in running for the Executive Board.
In the next few editions of the Stinger, we will be doing "Spotlights" on the different positions of the Executive Board that must be filled for the 2022 year.
SPOTLIGHT ON CO-PRESIDENTS
Greg Freeman and Jane Sowden have been the RHS band booster association co-Presidents this past year. Their ability to be flexible and change their leadership role with the craziness of this past year has been amazing. If you are the type of person who enjoys leading others towards a goal, you may want to consider this volunteer role.
Please click on the video below for more information.
TRUNK-OR-TREAT REHEARSAL (Thursday Oct. 28)
The RHS Marching Band will have a Trunk-or-Treat Rehearsal on October 28th. Students should plan to wear their Halloween costumes. After a shortened rehearsal, the band will move to the band field parking lot for a fun evening including candy, smores, and hay rides!
Parents/students can sign up to bring their decorated cars and the students will trick-or-treat from their "trunks". Participating parents/students will bring candy/snack donations.
Trunk-or-Treat Donation / Volunteer Options
VETERANS DAY CONCERT (Thursday Nov. 11)
The RHS Wind Ensemble will be performing a very special concert on Veterans Day, November 11th. This will be our first annual Veterans Day Concert where we will celebrate and recognize local veterans within our community. Additional information on ticket reservations will be coming soon.
ExtravaBANDza (Saturday Nov. 13, 4 p.m.) is less than a month away! SAVE THE DATE!
It is a great community event held at RHS that raises awareness of the band and is one of our key fundraisers. This year's theme will be carnival and games. Family friendly fun with music, games and food. Don't miss out!!!
RHS BAND BOOSTER BOARD MEETING MINUTES
The minutes from the October Booster Board meeting are available here. As a reminder, the next Board meeting will be on November 9th at 7:00 p.m. via Zoom. All parents are welcome to attend.
