Weekly Update 2nd Week December
Pack Falls to Marietta in Overtime 44 to 38
Friday night we had a great student section as usual for a another region contest against the Marietta Blue Devils. We executed our game plan to perfection and I was very proud of our kids. We went into the half up 24 to 16 off a buzzer beater three pointer delivered by Josh Burke. We played proficient in the third quarter and went into the 4th quarter up 31 to 28. Both teams played a great 4th quarter and that carried into overtime. We lost the game in overtime 44 to 38. We played a excellent game on the defensive end and on offense we played with patience and efficiency. We made some key mistakes in the very late game that hurt our efforts, but we did not finish in the end. I really believe that everything happens for a reason and these close losses in the early season will play dividends down the stretch for our young basketball team. I know I am going to get an incredible effort from them every night and I know great things are coming for this group. Ethan Reid led us in scoring with 11 points and 7 rebounds. Chad Terrell added 10 points and10 rebounds for a double double for the night. Josh Burke and Gunner Williams did a great job knocking down perimeter shots.
