Give the Gift of Books

Happy Holidays! Give the gift of reading this holiday season. For the 4th year the DCDS librarians have put together a list of recommended titles. This is a list of thirty titles that spans from PreK-Adult. Click here to visit the Pinterest board where you can see the full list of books with descriptions and links to websites. When you visit you will be prompted to login or create a Pinterest account. If you don't want to sign up, you can still scroll though the titles, though the screen will be darker and the Pinterest sign up screen will scroll with you.

You will not find information about what we have been learning by each grade level in this newsletter. That information can be found in the comments of your child's report card.

Recently, some of the kindergarteners participated in the Winter Around the World Project. This project was designed about a librarian who wanted to collect winter stories from around the world. The goal is to allow students to see what winter looks like everywhere. These projects and stories are being collected into a global digital winter story. Click here to learn more about this project. Click here to see what some of our kindergarteners submitted to the story.

Remember that the library is open Tuesday - Friday from 3:00 - 4:00pm for Extended Library Hours. You can come in to check out extra books, read, or complete homework! Please let me know if you have any question or concerns.

Thank you,

Kelly
