See attachment hereStudent Attendance
Message from the Elementary Office: Teachers will continue to use our standard protocol of taking attendance in Synergy. In addition, SB98 requires that we also provide an alternative means of capturing attendance for students that were not able to participate synchronously. In TVUE, there is a new Class Check-In screen, which is designed strictly to capture attendance, through asynchronous work, for the students that did not participate in the synchronous learning and were marked absent for the class period. A comment is required that describes the qualifying asynchronous work completed by the student to receive alternative credit for attendance.
Counselor's Corner -Yvette’s Message:
During my phone consultations with families helping them navigate getting the virtual world, I am getting a lot of kuddos to you all. Families are feeling very empathetic to what you all are going through to teach their kiddos. Just know their hearts go out to you all. GRACE not GRIEF!! ❤️
BLAST: taking referrals for our BLAST Mentor program. They have an awesome virtual program set up to support your students' academics, help them create short and long-term goals, and an SEL component. Please complete a Counselor Referral GForm to refer a kiddo.
Mental health support: taking referrals. Refer as needed. Please complete a Counselor Referral GForm.
SEL support lessons: let me know if you’d like me to do a few SEL Sanford Harmony Lessons with your class.
IEP/SST/504: all will continue via Zoom.
Rosters: I will be giving you a new copy of your roster with all known concerns, next steps, etc.
ELPAC: new ELL kiddos will be getting tested virtually. Annual ELPAC testing will be offered in the Spring.

SMART START
Accessing the campus and your classroom
Kettering campus is open to teachers and staff. Those that choose to come on campus will need to:
- Use the front door entrance only (please do not enter through your classroom doors, nor parking lot gates)
- Pass a health screen (temperature check and answer Covid-19 health-related questions) in the office before going to the classroom
- Access the campus only between 7:30 am– 4:00 pm (classroom space will be cleaned and sanitized starting at 4:00)
Please keep in mind that we are upholding all CDC guidelines, including wearing a mask when in public spaces or interacting with any other person on campus. Also, please know that all restrooms will be fully stocked with soap and cleaned and sanitized frequently throughout each day. More details to follow. Please don't hesitate to reach out to me or Richard if you have any specific questions/concerns.
