Kindergarten Enrollment Registration
It’s time to register your student for Kindergarten!
Please take the time to pre-enroll your student. Once you've pre-enrolled you will start receiving communications from the school about upcoming Kindergarten & new student events! We are excited to welcome you to Ada Elementary and introduce you to the community that your new Ranger will be working and playing with everyday. Please visit the Kindergarten Enrollment page on the FHPS.net website.
Arrival and Dismissal Reminders
When dropping off and picking up, please use our car line! The other area is reserved for buses.
The only exceptions to the arrival and dismissal procedures are:
- Families of flag raisers
- Permission from Melanie Hoeksema (health concerns, students with casts, etc.)
Be sure to pull all the way up when dropping off in the morning. This helps our line move more continuously.
Be patient in line. It is never ok to jump the line in front of another car.
For safety, please stay in your car and have your student exit on the sidewalk side. We have so many cars in our lines, we want to keep everyone safe! This is also a great opportunity for our younger students to work toward independence in getting in and out of car seats. At dismissal, if you need some extra time to buckle up, feel free to pull forward into the staff lot.
Thank you for your help with ensure the safety of our students!
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Michigan spring can be a weather rollercoaster! Please be sure to send your students to school with all the appropriate outdoor gear for the changing weather conditions.

News from Food Service
Did you know our school lunch programs make pizza, taco meat, pulled pork, pumpkin muffins, and fruit smoothies from scratch? We are required to offer certain colored vegetables? Learn more in our School Nutrition Overview.
We are required to serve a half-cup of fruit or vegetables with our hot lunches. Sometimes our students say "no thank you" to the selections. Food service guidelines require them to take a serving of fruit or vegetable from the salad bar. Students don't have to eat it, but we do have to serve it. Please discuss this with your students so they understand the protocol. Thank you.
