Important Testing Information
The week of January 25th will be the NC Check In tests in Reading and Math. This is given by the state of North Carolina. See Dr. Hargrove's Letter above for more information.
It is very important that students try their best on these assessments as they will allow us to measure growth and to help us to provide instruction that best helps students to learn the standards that will be tested on at the end of the year. These tests are not included in your child's grades.
Please understand that these tests should be done without assistance from others as we need an accurate gauge of where students are at academically.
I-Ready MOY diagnostic testing will be conducted once the other tests have been completed. We will provide updates in our newsletter.
Notes on Virtual Learning
Testing Week Information
Students will be given the code to test for that day.
Complete testing.
Do Asynchronous assignments in all three blocks after testing each day. There will be daily assignments to complete for all 3 classes. Students will not log in to zoom for blocks 2 and 3. We will have lessons and activities in Google Classroom each day.
I-Ready Reading and Math
Reading A to Z
Please encourage your child to use Reading A to Z to practice reading. Since we cannot check out library books, this is a great resource for daily reading. Students also have assigned books to complete in Reading A to Z each week.
