Willie Maxwell II (born June 7, 1991), better known by his stage name Fetty Wap, is an American hip hop recording artist from Paterson, New Jersey. He is a 25-year-old rapper that looks up to and is influenced by Juicy J, Young Jeezy, Gucci Mane, and others. Fetty Wap has one eye that he lost to Glaucoma. His birth sign is Gemini. He is a big fan of video games, mainly NBA 2K16. He believes that making people laugh is the best thing in the world. And that judgemental is the worst trait you will see in him. He grew to be famous very quickly, he only started making music 2 years ago and he is already on the top charts.
Training / Education
Fetty Wap worked with Bobby Shmurda and Dej Toaf when working to make music. He went to school at Eastside High School in Paterson, New Jersey. Which was where he was originally born. Although he didn't graduate, he still inspired many in his school and had a good education.

He rose to prominence with his 2014 breakout single "Trap Queen", which was a sleeper hit that peaked at number two on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart in May 2015. The success of "Trap Queen" helped Fetty Wap secure a record deal with 300 Entertainment and a distribution deal with Atlantic Records. He subsequently released the Top 40 hits "679", "My Way" and "Again". Fetty Wap's eponymously titled debut album was released in September 2015 and reached number one on the US Billboard200 chart. The Mixtape was originally set for release in February 2015 but was delayed because he continued to create new songs.

Awards
Wap received two nominations at the 58th Grammy Awards. Fetty Wap won the MC100 Award with "Trap Queen" in the category of most played video of the year. He won the MTV Video Music Awards with "Trap Queen" in the category of artist to watch. He also won the BET Hip Hop Awards with the same song in the category of who blew up award.
