The capital of the Czech Republic is Prauge

The Flag is called The Flag of Czechsolvakia. The Czech republic kept it when Czechsolvakia split in two.

The Czech Republic is bordered by Germany,Slovakia and Poland. It is located on a hilly plateau, with mountain ranges such as the Carpathian, the Ore,Sudetic and Surmarva. Some major landmarks are Charles Bridge, Old Town Square and Prague Castle. The Major bodies of water include the Vitava, Strelecky Ostrov and Carp Lake.

The Czech Republic is a unitary parliamentary constitutional republic, in which the President is the head of state and the Prime Minister is the head of government. The President is elected by the citizens, while the Prime Minister is appointed by the President. The Citizens have the right to vote, pay taxes and carry out their other civic duties.


The Czech republic is a very rich country with a GDP of about 714.6 billion dollars. The currency used is called Czech Koruna. The Czech Republics main imports/out ports are vechicle parts, technology and industrial wire. The life expectancy is 78 years, the birth rate is 9.63 births,the literacy rate is 99% and the drinking water source is ground water.


The citizens wear western style clothing. The main languages spoken are Slavic. The main religions include catholic and Protestant. Popular dishes include Meat Vegetables, dumplings and pastries. Main holidays are Jan Has Memorial Day, Czechoslovak Independence Day and the End of world war 2 commendation day.


The Czech Republic has mild, humid summers and cold, cloudy winters. The Average rainfall ranges from 1 in. to about 2.5 in. The average temperature is 52.5 degrees Fahrenheit. This climate allows for plant growth in the summer and beginning of winter. It also allows for plants that like mild and cold climates.


On January First,1993, Czechoslovakia split into the Czech Republic and Slovakia. This gave the Czech republic more independence, but less land. Then, in March, 1998, The Czech Republic joined the NATO. The North Atlantic Treaty Organization, also called the North Atlantic Alliance, is an intergovernmental military alliance based on the North Atlantic Treaty which was signed on 4 April 1949. This gave the country military support so the country would be protected.

The main language of america is English, and the main language of the Czech Republic is Slavic. We both though have citizen who speak a variety of languages. We both have holidays relating to independence and Memorials, but we also have different holidays.
