Math 24

The STRIVE students participated in the Math 24 Competition during the week of September 16th and put their math skills to the test. The students competed against other gifted students from Washington County. At the Intermediate Math 24 Competition, Emma Blickenderfer was our overall team point scorer. Emma, along with McKinley Goodwin, Samantha Hickman, and Carman Lucus came in 3rd place as a team. We competed against some talented students from Avella, Burgettstown, Canon-Mac, Chartiers-Houston, McGuffey, and Trinity School District.

Mandarin Chinese Language Learning

During the first quarter of the 2013-2014 school year our STRIVE students have been exposed to Mandarin Chinese. Chinese is a tonal language in which a word's meaning is based upon the tone that accompanies it. Check out the chart on the right and quiz your child on these tones.
