Students have been working hard all week and have been analyzing documents related to the Dust Bowl. In order to show what they've learned, they have been working on an informational essay in which they explain the causes of the Dust Bowl. This task is on Google Classroom and is due Monday, 1/29. Any students who were not able to finish in class should complete it over the weekend.

GOOGLE CLASSROOM

Students have begun using Google Classroom more frequently to post assignments. Hard copies of these assignments will not go home. Instead, you can access your child's work and score on Google Classroom through MyBackpack. If you or your child have difficulty getting on at home, please let me know and I'll be happy to help.

EXTENDED DAY

In case you haven't heard, the school day has been extended by 30 minutes due to the snow/ice days. This means our dismissal time will be 3:00 instead of 2:30 beginning Monday, January 29th. Our last extended day will be Friday, March 30th.

JEKYLL ISLAND EMERGENCY CONTACT & MEDICAL FORM

On Friday, your child received an emergency contact & medical form for the Jekyll Island Field Trip. If your child plans to attend, please complete (front and back) and return the form as soon as possible. Also, please note that students are not allowed to self-medicate on the trip. All medications will be administered by Mr. McBride. Medications must be submitted to the school nurse by end of day, Tuesday, February 6th. No medications will be accepted the morning of the trip.
