Steve Parish
Steve Parish was born in Great Britain, in 1945. He is now 70 years old. He has no formal education in photography. He became interested in photography when he was given an opportunity to join an expedition to Kangaroo Island with famous Australian under water photographer Igo Oak. He traveled a lot and got into taking nature pictures when he noticed there was a lack of advertisement for Australian tourist companies. Personally I think his work is beautiful. His first award for his work was the Nikon South Pacific Underwater Photographer of the Year in 1974. People say his work is beautiful and really show off the beautiful wildlife of Australia. Steve Parish wants to teach people about the nature in Australia.
"Educating others was my primary objective in starting the company. It wasn't just about taking spectacular images, although that is extremely rewarding, too. It was about promoting an understanding for the importance of nature. The first step has to be to light a fire in someone — inspire them to learn more, inspire them to genuinely become one with nature, urge them to connect with it and to celebrate its beauty and diversity. Then let’s talk about saving it. "
