RSA Fundraiser
RSA hosted a fundraiser on November 14th at the Lexington Ice Center. Lots of UK residents and Hall Government members were eager to try ice skating while showing support for RSA. Overall $142 was raised in two hours to help RSA plan more awesome programs in the future. Thank you to everyone who came to the Ice Center and skated with us! There will be more RSA fundraisers next semester, so look out for future dates!
Hall Government Social
The Hall Government Social took place on November 13th. It was an opportunity to have the Hall Government members from across campus together to meet, share ideas, and have fun. There were board and card games, arts and crafts, and dinner provided. It was a lot of fun and a great time to meet the members of the Hall Governments. All the work they do in their halls is appreciated and they are doing a great job building communities in the residence halls. Look out for a spring Hall Government social next semester!
Dark Hours
Dark hours were from 5 to 7pm on Thursday, November 20th. In order to promote sustainability, especially in the halls, RSA encouraged residents to turn off their lights and unplug electronics for two hours. During those two hours RSA threw a Dark Hours party in the classroom of Woodland Glen 1. There were games, music and snacks in the dark played with flashlights and glow-sticks. RSA will be sponsoring more sustainable programs in the halls later this semester and next semester.
