3. Mr. Mulick for spear-heading the efforts for our community to adopt families at Christmas.
4. Ms. Ulczak for managing the details of finalizing semester grades while also making schedule changes for the new semester and staying on top of information for incoming freshmen.
5. Ms. Bohlander and Ms. Kancler for taking 20 Res students on a three-day field experience to Illinois Theatre Fest in Bloomington-Normal.
Instruction & Technology Updates
Semester Two Reminders:
Schoology
With the start of a new semester, please remember to add any new students to your courses. If a student has moved to a different teacher for the semester, please remember to remove them from your course. If you need any assistance on adding/removing students in Schoology, please read the directions here.
Hapara
Teachers have two options when it comes to Hapara. You may opt to utilize the same Hapara courses that you did last semester. This works well if, for the most part, you have the same students in your classes this semester. Or, teachers can utilize the courses for the 2nd semester that have already been set up for you. This may be best if your roster is significantly different than last semester. Either way, you may need to add/remove students. Please visit my previous blog post on how to go about adding/deleting a student.
Innovation Lab Update
We have seen an increase in use for the Digital Recording Studio and we want to make sure that the students that need the space, have access. For that reason, students will only be allowed to use the Studio if they have a pass from a teacher or have worked out a project with Mr. Wiechert or myself. Students have the ability to reserve the Recording Studio (via a form on Symbaloo) but they will still need a pass. Aditionally, if you have students working on a multimedia project and you know that they may be utilizing the Innovation Lab and/or Recording Studio, please let me know if advance so that I am better equipped to help them. If you have any questions, please contact me.
