SDSL Database Survey

The Electronic Resources Task Force is preparing to evaluate the South Dakota State Library database subscriptions. We want your input! A survey will be available on the South Dakota State Library website November 1-19, 2021.

The South Dakota State Library is inviting all patrons to take our Database Survey! Have you used any of our databases or electronic resources? Is there an electronic resource that you wish you had access to? This survey is for you! It is just three easy questions, and it is available here:

We also want your patrons/students to respond to the survey. Print this promotional poster out, put it at your front desk, computer, and any other high traffic areas.

If you have questions about the Electronic Resources Task Force or the Database Survey, contact Kim Bonen at or 605-295-3174.

Celebrate National Picture Book Month with the SDSL Staff!

Kate Kosior, Braille and Talking Book Library Manager

My favorite picture book is Jolly Roger and the Pirates of Abdul the Skinhead by Colin McNaughton. It is absolutely hilarious, and all the characters are fun, especially Jolly Roger’s mom!

Kim Bonen, Digital Resources Coordinator

My favorite picture book is Over In The Meadow by Olive A. Wadsworth. The story is so sweet and the happy rhythm of the poem gets stuck in my head for days.
