Welcome Back!
2nd Annual Cardboard Challenge = Huge Success
An extra-special thank you goes to Mrs. Ligon for helping every class with the painting of the cardboard structures. She was incredibly flexible with her schedule and even volunteered to cut things out for students if an exacto knife was needed. We just can't thank her enough!
Also, our STEM Leadership Team, headed by Mrs. Thurston, did a rock-star job of planning this year's challenge to incorporate Social Studies standards. Thank you to our PTO, Mrs. Thurston, and ALL of our teachers and staff who made this challenge an instructional event that our students will always remember.
If you haven't had the opportunity to see the press release (Thank you, Nicole!!!), check this out!
News from Jack Anderson Elementary PTO
Penny Wars kick off tomorrow! Dig out all of that loose change and bring it to school! The grade who raises the most money during Penny Wars over the next two weeks will win a special STEM Assembly by Mr. Bond!! Remember coins count toward the overall total for the grade and dollar bills serve as "bombs" that subtract from that grade's total. AND….. the more money we raise, the crazier things will get as Mrs. Sanders competes with Mr. Thurman in a Circus Show that is sure to be a big hit with the kids!!
· Don’t forget Tech Trek is set for this Friday, October 20tht!! If you haven't already, please register and solicit donations online at jaetrek.dojiggy.com. PTO will be distributing the FREE Dog Tags to students every day this week who are registered and have at least one donation! Donate today to help us reach our overall goal.
· Be sure to join us for the PTO meeting on Thursday, October 19th at 9:30 am in the café.
