Introducing the new KCS STEM Facilitator
Mallory Sterling is the new Knox County District STEM Facilitator. Mallory has experience in both elementary and secondary and was also a science district leader. Most recently, Mallory taught at South Knoxville Elementary where she was also the STEM Camp Director. She is eager to work with teachers across the district to grow our students.

Join students and educators across the country by partnering with Girls Who Code to bring computer science opportunities to elementary, middle, and high school girls in your community! Girls Who Code Clubs are FREE after-school programs for 3rd-5th or 6th-12th grade girls to join a sisterhood of supportive peers and role models and use computer science to change the world. Grant Opportunities
- Toshiba America Foundation’s grants are for project-based learning in math and science. Upcoming due dates are as follows:
K-5 due 10/1 for up to $1,000
6-12 due 9/1 and 12/1 for up to $5,000
6-12 due 11/1 for more than $5,000
- America's Farmers requires a farmer to nominate a school district. Once nominated, the school districts can apply for $10,000 or $25,000 STEM grants.
- Motorola grants are open now until early 2020.
