VOTE: JUNE 27 - Request for Additional State Aid for Energy Savings Contract Improvements In our continued efforts to save costs, the District has identified energy improvements that will allow us to reduce future energy costs and improve the facilities for student use. The Gananda School Board approved this project at the April 24, 2019 Board meeting, the project will have no impact on local taxes. The District will receive 80% reimbursement on the work from the state, the remaining cost will be covered by rebates and savings from instituting energy efficiency measures. If the District receives voter approval, the District will get an additional 10% in aid from the state, more savings for the District. Please read more information regarding this proposition being put before voters on June 27. | Gananda Pool is Open The Gananda pool reopened on Tuesday, May 28. Please visit the Aquatics Department's web page for open swim times and summer swim lesson registration info. | Upcoming Spring Concerts Don’t miss this year’s remaining spring concerts!

Gananda Alumni Lacrosse Games
Participation is free but registration is encouraged! Please email Dawn Nodar at dmloth@yahoo.com. Please include name and year graduated. After each game pizza and drinks will be given to all alumni participating. There will also be a concession stand for spectators. Please join us!
Therapy Dogs
The Gananda Board of Education has recently adopted a policy to include therapy dogs. Interacting with a therapy dog has many physical and emotional benefits, helping students to relax and destress. We are excited to be introducing a therapy dog to Mrs. Peterson’s class at the high school, and to a classroom at the Gananda Middle School in the near future. All therapy dogs and owners have been tested and accredited by Therapy Dogs International (TDI) or a comparable authority. A therapy dog will always be on leash and under the supervision of their owner.
If your student has a dog allergy, please notify the appropriate school office.

2019 JPB Panther Open
Thank you from the Macedon Food Pantry
The Macedon Food Pantry Committee would like to thank the persons responsible for a very generous donation left at the Walworth Town Hall recently. Over 100 items - cans of veggies and fruit, peanut butter and jelly, big jars of applesauce, and jars of spaghetti sauce were donated in memory of Kelly Witter. Each can and jar had a different emoji taped to its top. All the circles were cut out and individually decorated. The food will help feed food insecure families in Macedon and Walworth. Gananda families are able to get food from the Macedon Food Pantry Wednesday's, Friday's, and Saturday's from 12:00PM - 1:00PM in the basement of St. Patrick's Church on Main Street in Macedon.
