Elevated Bits and Bytes

Weekly Update- November 11th, 2022

Winter definitely came in with a blanket of snow and colder temperatures! Hopefully, everyone is staying warm and dry. As long as the weather stays dry, we will have new furniture arriving next week which will complete the transformation of the Elevated wing of Al Tahoe. With that, it may be a little chaotic in the building next week.

Picture Day

Picture day is Tuesday, November 15th, 2022 on the Al Tahoe Campus in the Multi-Purpose Room. Our students are welcome to take pictures from 1:30 pm to 3 pm. We would love to have all our students come to take pictures even if you don't plan to purchase them as we update them in Aeries and it's great to have new pictures.

If you'd like to order pictures online, you can go to mylifetouch.com and use the Picture Day ID: EVTJ2J9DD

Veterans' Musical Tribute Concert

A Veterans’ Musical Tribute Concert has been rescheduled to Tuesday, Nov. 15 at 6:00pm at the South Tahoe High School Blue Gym This FREE concert is a wonderful tribute to our men and women who have served or are currently serving our country in the various branches of the military. We would like to invite all veterans and their families to attend our concert to honor and thank them for their brave and selfless duty. Everyone is invited to come to listen to incredible patriotic music and give thanks to those who have fought for our country! Our performers include South Tahoe Middle School and South Tahoe High School Bands, Orchestras, and Choirs.

LTUSD Focus: Elevated Digital Learning Academy

Each month for the remainder of the school year, Lake Tahoe Unified School District (LTUSD) will feature one of its eight innovative and engaging school sites with a short article intended to educate the community and future families about our local schools, educational programs, and options for students. This month we’d like to highlight Elevated Digital Learning Academy! Read more…

Delayed Start vs. Snow Days

Today the district called for a delayed start meaning the brick-and-mortar schools started 2 hours later to allow time for the roads to be cleared and buses to roll. As an online school, Elevated will maintain our regular schedule on a delayed start day.

If and when the district calls a snow day, Elevated will also take a snow day as we have to maintain the same calendar. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to email us.

November Student of the Month-UPDATE

5/6 Student of the Month

We had a bit of an error with our 5th/6th grade student of the month for November. Our student of the month for November for our 5/6 class is Judah!

Judah is always on the R.I.S.E. in our combo class! You can count on him to be respectful and helpful to others. He is our most tech-savvy student ready with solutions to most problems. A classmate also noted, “He is engaged, kind and honest because he has his camera on most of the time.”

CAASPP Scores are now Available:

Student score reports for the 2022 Spring CAASPP (California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress) state assessments are now available through the parent and student Aeries portal.
